Registered Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern
Kerri’s compassionate approach to therapy allows clients to find comfort in an honest therapeutic relationship, in order to achieve their personal goals for healing. She works to create a non-judgmental and supportive environment that promotes an individual’s personal strengths and innate ability to resolve his or her own life struggles. She is particularly interested in the dynamics of families and the impact they have on an individual’s relationships and schemas. Her intention is to gain an understanding of clients’ patterns of behaviors, and use her training and intuition to guide treatment and establish therapeutic goals.
Kerri’s passion for nutrition influences her understanding of mental health and well-being, as she recognizes the importance of physical health and its effects on one’s thoughts and emotions. She leads weekly groups focused on life skills, the benefits of juicing, book studies, self-validation and empowerment. She has a passion for working with children and teens, and specializes in providing services to clients who struggle with substance abuse issues.
