The Iris Eating Disorder Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) at the Delray Center For Healing is one of the most progressive outpatient eating disorder treatment programs in the country. With a special focus on the cognitive changes created by extreme caloric restriction, extra measures are taken to address this beyond just re-feeding. Therapeutic use of vitamins and amino acids helps improve cognitive functioning sooner, which facilitates engagement with the psychotherapeutic aspects of the program. Therapy focuses on the underlying issues, as well as the body image obsession. Specialized services address co-occurring behaviors such as substance abuse, self-injury, and compulsive exercise. This is all done on a full time outpatient basis with the Iris Eating Disorder Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP).
