Christie Caggiani, a Registered, Licensed Dietitian / Nutritionist, has practiced nutrition therapy in the South Florida area since 1996. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and appropriately complimented her degree with a minor in psychology, graduating with honors.
Christie served as Chief Clinical Dietitian in an acute care hospital and Director of Nutrition Services for a rehabilitation program. For many years she consulted at a renounced eating disorder facility, conducting group & individual nutrition therapy for residential and outpatient programs, prior to starting her own private practice in 1996. Her expertise has been featured in local newspapers and radio shows, as well as on CNN. She co-authored a chapter on nutrition and eating disorders for The Renfrew Center, and has been published in a nationally distributed professional newsletter. State and national dietetic associations recognized her as Young Dietitian of the Year and her professional affiliations include: The American Dietetic Association, The Florida Dietetic Association, and Sports, Cardiovascular, Wellness & Eating Disorder Nutritionists.
Ms. Caggiani works with a variety of nutritional issues, including but not limited to disordered eating and eating disorders, weight management, wellness and preventive nutrition. She can be found counseling individual clients, conducting groups or providing lectures throughout the community.
Christie utilizes a warm, therapeutic approach that allows clients to identify and understand their eating struggle. Guiding clients toward self-regulation of food, weight and movement is the overall goal. She works as part of a strong therapeutic team and believes that making peace with food and body is a process that encompasses physical, emotional and spiritual components. She embraces the opportunity to help others on their journey toward a healthful relationship with food.
