Jennifer Bilot, LMHC received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and her Master’s Degree in Counselor Education with an emphasis on Mental Health Counseling from Florida Atlantic University. Jennifer is currently pursuing her Doctoral degree in counseling at Florida Atlantic University with a research interest in the effects of family environment/involvement on substance abuse treatment program outcomes.
Jennifer’s work experience includes individual, group and family therapy with adults and adolescents. Jennifer has worked in the areas of substance abuse, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, grief and interpersonal relationship and family issues. She has also led groups on assertiveness, family concerns, parenting, divorce/separation, and women’s issues.
Jennifer’s therapeutic modality includes the belief in a collaborative relationship between client and therapist. She adheres to an integrative therapeutic approach which includes, but is not limited to, cognitive-behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, and humanistic theory.
