The Delray Center for Healing offers an individualized intensive outpatient program. This combines the individual services available at The Delray Center, such as psychiatry, individual counseling, and group therapy into one curriculum for those struggling with drug abuse or alcoholism. For over fifteen years, The Delray Center has been treating substance abuse and dual diagnosis clients in an outpatient setting, with a focus on both medical care and intensive behavioral therapy. IOP at The Delray Center is an ideal alternative for people who cannot attend inpatient treatment, or for people who have already completed treatment and are looking for additional support and therapy.
Intensive outpatient, abbreviated at “IOP” is a form of outpatient treatment where clients attend half-days of therapeutic programming while living at home or in a sober living environment. Clients in IOP typically participate in three hours of programming for every day they attend outpatient treatment, but the amount of hours can vary depending on specific clinical needs. Because treatment occurs on an outpatient basis, the duration of treatment is longer than most inpatient or residential addiction programs. The focus in IOP is to re-establish psychosocial supports, learn skills for relapse management, and address issues of emotional well-being as they emerge during everyday life. At The Delray Center for Healing, clients in intensive outpatient treatment can attend five days per week or three days per week, and our IOP treatment is offered in 8-week cycles. Treatment schedules can be customized to accommodate things such as college, work, or other outside responsibilities.
Candidates for the addiction intensive outpatient program at The Delray Center for Healing include: Individuals completing outpatient detox at The Delray Center, individuals completing a residential or partial hospitalization program (PHP) who want to further their recovery, or someone struggling with drugs and alcohol but who does not meet the criteria for inpatient treatment. Clients who attend IOP at The Delray Center receive individual therapy and individual psychiatric care. Plus, case management and therapeutic and holistic group programming, with an emphasis on life skills development and relapse prevention.
Every client who joins The Delray Center’s Addiction IOP receives an individualized treatment plan. And, a unique schedule developed by our treatment team of doctors, therapists, and care support staff. While participating in the addiction intensive outpatient track, clients can also customize their treatment to include additional services. Services available at The Delray Center include trauma, eating disorders, depression, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Plus, services for any other co-occurring mental health diagnoses. All potential IOP candidates receive a full evaluation from one of our psychiatrists prior to entering the program. To schedule your initial evaluation, please give us a call at 561-266-8866
