Eating disorders are the most deadly of all mental illnesses, and among the most complex to treat. The Delray Center For Healing is dedicated to helping individuals and families struggling with these challenging illnesses. Moreover, we recognize that the journey to recovery is unique. Outpatient eating disorder treatment requires an integrated approach from a multi-disciplinary team of experienced professionals. As a result, our highly skilled professional team helps our clients recognize a healthy individual as having physical, mental, and spiritual well-being – not by body shape and size.
Types of Eating Disorders

Binge Eating Disorder: Symptoms of this disorder commonly include bingeing large amounts of food in short periods of time. And, pair with feelings of extreme guilt, shame, and remorse.
Pica: This eating disorder is characterized by the eating of materials that aren’t edible.
The Importance of Individualized Eating Disorder Treatment
Every client in the Delray Center for Healing Eating Disorder Program receives an individualized treatment plan that includes a complete psychiatric and medical assessment. Consequently, here, we understand that one person’s struggle with eating disorders isn’t the same as another’s. And, that each person will benefit from various modalities throughout treatment. So, we work to provide individualized treatment for every patient. Therefore, giving them the personalized approach they need for the best chance of outpatient eating disorder treatment success.
What Does Individualized Treatment Look Like?
Here at Delray Center for Healing, we strive to make outpatient eating disorder treatment individualized in a number of ways. For example, providing patients the opportunity to work closely with a dedicated therapist. This way, clients will learn to understand the issues that sustain and promote their eating disorder as they develop a realistic and positive body image.
Along with individualized therapy, patients also receive daily meal support and weekly nutritional therapy with a registered, licensed dietitian. This encourages clients to focus on mindful eating in a safe and nurturing setting.
Finally, another way we integrate individuality is to offer supportive community outings to grocery stores, restaurants, and clothing stores. Thus, helping to prepare clients with important real-world skills.
All in all, The Delray Center for Healing offers a unique variety of complementary therapies, skill-building, and holistic treatments to enrich the recovery process.
