Delray Center for Healing offers both a Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Partial Hospitalization Program for individuals living with the negative effects of untreated trauma. PTSD, or post traumatic stress disorder, is a mental health condition that develops as a result of experiencing traumatic situations. Quiet suffering from trauma can often derive from childhood abuse and neglect, rape, military combat, accidents, natural disasters, and more.
While some individuals exhibit symptoms such as anxiety, depression, and a constant struggle to “move forward” in life. Others turn to substance abuse to help ease their pain and self-medicate symptoms. Still, others may suffer silently, offering only subtle hints to the pain that lies within. However, the effects of trauma can differ from person to person. But, there are some diagnostic symptoms of PTSD that are used in characterizing this condition which include:
We understand that not all individuals deal with the same effects of PTSD. And, that because this condition is different from patient to patient, individualized care and PTSD counseling is important. That’s why our experienced team of highly trained and compassionate Therapists is adept at identifying and treating post-trauma reactions while remaining sensitive to the unique needs of individuals and families affected by these conditions.
When PTSD goes untreated, individuals living with this condition put themselves at risk for other issues. During PTSD treatment and counseling, it’s important to identify and address concurrent issues PTSD patients may be living with. Through therapy, individuals can learn the proper coping skills and emotional tools needed to deal with lifelong symptoms of trauma. And, learn to manage the concurrent issues they deal with as a result of the trauma they’ve faced.
At the Delray Center, we offer all levels of outpatient care for trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder treatment, for virtually all levels of trauma severity. Patients who participate in our Trauma Partial Hospitalization Program receive intensive clinical psychotherapy in order to achieve successful trauma resolution. Our rigorous clinical programming is coupled with a suite of holistic services. These aim to help the body, mind, and spirit all heal simultaneously. These services include physical fitness, yoga, meditation & mindfulness, vitamin therapy, and nutritional therapy.
Each client in our trauma treatment track receives an individualized treatment plan that addresses the full spectrum of needs for their trauma and any trauma-related conditions. Clients receive intensive but supportive trauma-specific psychotherapy providers in a safe, nurturing environment at our center.
If appropriate, clients may simultaneously participate in other Delray Center programs, such as our Eating Disorder Treatment Program or our Outpatient Addiction Treatment Program, to ensure that all mental health conditions are properly treated.
